GP extended hours Saturday mornings at Islay Hospital from 10.30am. Appointments can only be booked in advance and will be available up until 6pm the previous (working) day.
Appointments should be made in advance by phoning the surgery during the opening times shown. When booking an appointment with the nurse or HCA it would be helpful if you let the receptionist know what the appointment is for to ensure that you are booked in with the correct person.
If there are no available appointments and you think you need to be seen urgently you will be still be seen by a GP. You will usually be given an appointment at the end of the GP’s surgery, so please be prepared for a longer waiting time. If you do not require to be seen but would like to speak to a GP the receptionist can arrange for a GP to phone you.
Routine appointments last for 10 minutes – if you think you need a longer appointment please inform the receptionist and this can be arranged. If your appointment is no longer needed please ensure that you cancel it in plenty of time as other people may require it.
